Pictures, contacts, and events in this life time

--- George Boston Rhynes, holds up symbolic sales of justice while delivering his speech to the crowd gathered at the Lowndes County Administration building Saturday morning. The citizens of Valdosta, Lowndes County, and surrounding communities was amazed to see the Valdosta Daily Times Front Page Headlines "Protesters Take To City's Streets." (Sunday, October 1998)

--- All people of conscious in South Georgia were expecting to receive justice once and for all concerning decades of an unjust Justice System in Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia. However, it never came because of the same good ole boy system that has existed and remains deeply intrenched in Valdosta-Lowndes County to this very day. How Sad?

--- GEORGE BOSTON RHYNES, speaks at the Valdosta Slave Monument about the history of Brooks and Lowndes County Georgia. He gave information that he said is being hidden from the general public by local news media outlets. He said, this history they refused to publish because they want to keep us all deaf, dumb, and blind for control.

--- Apparently, they have a vested neet to keep of keeping the people ignorant of South Georgia's Historical Past. Therefore, the people cannot make intelligent decisions based on facts.

- George, spoke of the lynchings of Hayes Turner, a ninth month old fetus ripped from Mary Turner womb in the 9th month of pregnancy, with the head being CRUSED beneath a White Mob members boot. Then the baby gave out two loud cries and died.

- However, no one has been brought to justice until this day and no monuments are erected in their honor but I am asking why? And until the truth of the past is discussed and monuments are cpmstructed the New South cannot move forward. This means southerners hearts, minds, and souls of both Black, and White People cannot move forward into the 21st Century...

- Rev. Wade, my beautiful Brother, I thank you for your efforts in this most important undertaking in overseeing the construction of the Black Slave Monuments....

Mr. Willie P. Richardson the Great!

- Willie P. Richardson in Valdosta, Georgia and local citizens from surrounding cities enjoyed his performance. I had become familiar with Mr. Richardson years earlier when I contacted him to get his tapes, and CDs for sale at New Mind Music. He is a different human being and he seem to keep himself to himself. And I could not get inside of his mind and find out what makes him tick.

- However, we made contact of the mind through later and sharing of deals. I respect him for his ability to make people laugh. We pointed fingers at each other and sat at a table as people came and purchased his tapes and CDs. I really enjoyed the time we spent together. If I had more time with him. I would try and dig deeper into his comedian mind. But then again, its sometimes best to just let the best be the best, and accept what he or she shares with you through their gifts given from God to man.

WJEM 1150: A Radio Station that did well for our community. If our local people had only supported it we would have been better off. However because the owner tried in the beginning to do right by his community. Not everyone supported his dream of a station truly for the community. I say to the owner you did your job well considering what and who you had to work with.

Two thumbs up for you, your wife, children and those who supported you during the years tht you were in our community of Valdosta, Georgia and surrounding communities.

National Blues Singer Roy C. being Interviewed by George Boston Rhynes on his CWOD Radio Broadcast on WJEM Radio Station in Valdosta, Georgia. Mr. C, spoke truth to power and never did he let me down. He also donated to the broadcast and never feared speaking truth to power. A great community person.

Recording Artist Roy Hamond better known as the Blues Singer Roy C, one of his best blues songs, "Saved By the Bell."

Geoerge Boston Rhynes and Roy C. became friends at New Mind Material and was interviewed on the CWOD Radio Broadcast several times in Valdosta Georgia.

He is one of the most knowledgeable people I know on ancient Black History. Truly a man of knowledge and I thank God for meeting him in this life time. More to come on this Great Blues Singer and more.

The Gospel Giant Herman Smith Sr., and George Boston Rhynes on his weekly radio brodcast on WGOV Radio Broadcast in Valdosta Georegia in 1989. The New Mind Broadcast was started when Geroge was stationed at Moody Air Force Base in ;ate 1989. This was immediately after returning from Germany.

George Boston Rhynes in Dr. Asanta the author of many books on Africa's History and other great works that has inspired many even in African countries.

Here George Boston Rhynes stands over the remains of Brother Joe Willis a very committed supporter of his CWOD Radio Broadcast "Community Words of Deliverance." Brother Willis was very informed brother of the Prince Hall Masonic and always wanted more knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Moreover, he did not only talk the talk but he supported Rhynes weekly 30 minute broadcast for years. He truly loved truth and the messages given and I will be forever greatful to him for his our lasting friendship. I thank his sister Blanch who honored his request that I deliver his last message and put out the last plumbline in his honor.

--- George Boston Rhynes with Rev Jospeh Lowery who came to Valdosta two times during the protest marches when inmate Willie James Williams died while in the custody of the Lowndes County Jail following a routine traffic stop.

--- This picture was taken at the South Side Library near the duck pond with members of the Peoples Tribunal and members of the NAACP.

--- Here George interviews Rev. Lowery for his CWOD Radio Broadcast on WJEM Radio Station. This was a very informative interview and Rev. Lowery has one of the best personalities of any person I have ever interviewed. I hope to post the complete interview on this blog in the very neara future. Peace

--- This is a picture of the march that touched the lives of more than 4,000 people in the State of Georgia and beyond. However, fear kept many citizens from participating in the march. See a two hour video "A Chorus of Fearm" put together by VSU professors and students. In this vedio they revealed the deeply intrenched fear that keep people quiet and scared to speak out against the power structure.

--- Well over 2,000 strong was touched by the untimely death of Inmate Willie James Williams on September 2, 1998. They came and they cried out for justice in this South Georgia Town. Only time and God would know how the end would and will be.

--- George Boston Rhynes with the Scale and Balances along with the late Rev. Ross, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. This was at a march following the death of inmate Willie James Williams. The Floyd Rev. Ross stood out on many ocassions in the fight for justice in Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia while many others seemed to live in fear. Rev. Rose was one pastor who are really living the dream of Dr. Martin L. King Jr., Jesus and others who traveled that great line of divine. Peace!

--- This picture was taken at George Boston Rhynes store "New Mind Music," these are people who was part of the struggle for justice in the Williams case. The death of Inmate Williams gathered people from across religious, political parties, and from other organizations to fight for the cause of justice.

--- These are guests on George Boston Rhynes CWOD Broadcast following his weekly Radio Broadcast. This was a four week program that gathered Muslims, from Jacksonville, Albany, and from our local community. They proved that Christians and Muslims can get along with each others outside of their individual belief systems.

--- It was later determined that some members of the Clergy threatened to pull their program from the radio unless the muslims not come back to the station. I appreciate the courage of the owner for his stand and allowed truth to be spoken on WJEM. The meeting was a great success and open minded people were blessed. Peace.

Rhynes at Naha Air Base Japan 1974

--- The South Georgia Country Boy in Okinawa, Japan (United States Air Force) behind the NCO Club at Naha Air Base in front of the Barracks. George Boston Rhynes at a younger age. Never lift weights but his own personal designed exercises.

--- In the Mother Land people were people and self respecting. No one outside of themselves made them change their mind from what they wanted it to be. They had their own belief system. They had their own perception of who, and what God was to them. Therefore, two heads may be better than one but never forget which one belongs to you. {GBR}

The death stand of the original African warriors before a great mental battle. The old saying, He who walks away from a foolish fight, will live to fight a greater battle for a greater cause.

Moreover, its not the size of the ship that makes a man or woman sea sick but it is the motion in the ocean. And its not the depths of the ocean that drowns a man but its the water. So Stay focused or the right thing in life.

The Thinker! With a much younger mind...
George Boston Rhynes

--- George Boston Rhynes in 1973, at Naha Air Base Japan. Job position at the Air Mail Terminal (Postal Service). Picture was taken in front of the Non-commissioners Offficers Club in front of the barracks.

--- While stationed at Naha, Air Base Japan I had no need to chase women or go to the strip joints because I was married to My wife and Yolanda my 1st child was and remains the highlight of my life. I exercised and went to the Hundu Temples to better understand other religions of the world that I knew nothing about as a South Georgia country boy.

--- I watch people complain and cut themselves in order leave the Island. They did not like the Island. But I love the Island and made friends with Japanese and we went into caves and headers point at the north end of the Island. I really enjoyed my stay for 18 months on the Island.

--- I will add more pictures of some Japanese friends and others while I performed the work of an United States Airman. I must admit that the best friend I had was a white Brother by the name of JACK MORGAN fron Indiana. Glenn Tatum from Odessa Texas was the best Black friend I had and everybody seem to get along with me and I appreciated the friend ship.

Pictures of the death of inmate Willie James Williams who died September 2, 1998, in the Lowndes County Jail. His death got the atterntion of approximately 4,000 people from across the state and beyond.

Nearly 2,000 strong marched to the Lowndes County Jail in protest for a Black Motorist who was arrested on a routine traffice violation. A few hours later He was found dead in his own jail cell.

Mr. Dick Gregory and George Boston Rhynes 2005. A great man in whom I have always respected. He is, and always will be a man that I have the greatest respect. Mainly because he thinks outside of the box of incarceration and indoctrination. Truly a great Black man of honor in and all Americans can learn from. Only if they would listen. I thank God for meeting him in this life time.

Boston Rhynes and his son Elliontt were when a tarnodo struck - Photo by George Boston Rhynes as was front page in the Valdosta Daily Times on February 1995 Vol 90, No 123.

The spritual meaning to this incident cannot be understood by looking at a picture. I new following this incident that GOD did not want me to fear no MAN, WOMAN, BEAST. Because is worth of me to fear.

Brother George Boston Rhynes giving his Weekly Radio Broadcast on WLAT Radio Station in Conway, South Carolina, while stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base in 1982.

Brother George Boston Rhynes and Ron, a young man who is liken unto my own son-plus. His words, mind, and mysterious spirit is one that the ordinary person may or may be able to overstand.
However, He and his wife are two young people that the world is blessed to have in it. They come with a level of overstanding wisdom that is too much for people of their age.

This picture means so much to me because it shows that true love, unity, respect, and equality are ties that truly binds. After the death of The Honorable Al Parson. I was deeply humbled that this picture had been taken with the five of us. Although, others should have been with us but were not because this is how time and destiny wanted it to beeeeee.
Reading from left to Right: Charles Moore, writer at the Lake Park Post, Vickie English, Writer, co-editor at the Post, Al Parson owner and backbone of the post, George B. Rhynes a
brother to all, and Mrs Leigh Touchton, supporter, partner, and historical figure in that she was the first White Lady to hold the office of President of an NAACP Branch in America.
So be not deceived we we cannot put all White People in the same tree trunk. These people stood with me when Blacks were no where to be found. I do not put down my own Black brothers and sisters. However, Jesus said and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make/set you free.  There, the more truth I speak the more fee'er I become.  Peace!

Brother George Boston Rhynes and Minister Floyd E. Rose at a March following the death of inmate Willie James Williams (Lowndes County Jail), near Valdosta State University in Valdosta Georgia. The hold the Holy Bible and marched with it leading the March as carrying the Ark of the Covenant as in the days of old.

This march was like the many other marches brought together many members of our community from all areas of the community and from organizations from across the state of Georgia.
The Honorable Rev. Floyd E. Rose will always be in my heart because he has done what I believe was given to him to do in this life. And to those of you who wanted me to walk away from this strong, and bold soldier. I simply reply by saying you must have not read the 133 Psalms. Amen, and Awomen.

Get Out The Vote August 2005, in Atlanta Morris Brown College), The Honorable Cynthia McKinney Congresswoman from the 4th Congressional District of the State of Georgia. This picture was taken in August 2005, at Morris Brown State College. At the get out the Vote March. I had this golden opportunity not only to meet her, but talk, see, experience the power, hear her voice tone, along with others who spoke from the state, (Jesse Jackson, Dick Gregory, and other leaders from the State NAACP) and of course a bus from Valdosta chartered under the leadership of Rev. Floyd Rose and The Peoples Tribunal.

I had always loved, respected, and hoped to see this Congresswoman from Georgia. She is truly a people person, and on that day I told her, "You are a SHERO, and I thank you for being you." And on August 8, 2006, I still say you are my SHERO. Thank you my beautiful Black Sister for being you, and keep speaking truth to power. Peace!

(St Peters AME Church in Valdosta, Georgia, 2006), Brother George Boston Rhynes and Cynthia McKinney May 13, 2006, at St Peters AME Mothers Day Banquet in Valdosta, Georgia. This was the second time we met at an event, and again she was outstanding. She was still beautiful, strong, with a million dollar smile, great voice tone, wearing Black African Attire, and she retains the spirit of the common woman, and man.

I had the high honor of meeting her golden haired mother. We talked at Rev. Floyd Rose house and her mother is a pearl beyond measure. I will share the poem as it was delivered at the Mothers Day Banquet on May 13, 2006.

PROGRAM FACILATATOR: Next coming up is a reading from Brother George Rhynes President of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Branch of the NAACP. (Long Applause).

"When God spoke in the Bible about Sampson-------I believe, HE was talking about----Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Our poem, it couldn't be done by Edgar Guest, with a Rhynes TWIST (Long Applause).

In honor of all mothers, and the Honorable Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, (Rhynes looks towards McKinney), for whom I have the greatest respect. AND REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS MAY SAY. I SAY------SHE IS MY SHERO," (Long Applause).

It Couldn't Be Done by:
Edgar Guest

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But SHE with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but SHE would be one
Who wouldn't say so till SHE tried.

So SHE buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On HER face. If SHE worried SHE hid it.
SHE started to sing as SHE tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and SHE did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But SHE took off HER coat and SHE took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew SHE'D begun it.
With a lift of HER chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
SHE started to sing as SHE tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and SHE did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;

Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and like
Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney from the
4th Congressional District of
Georgia, you'll do it my friend."

(Again, an extremely long applause).

Truly, this was a historical event for
Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia.

Thanks to Alberta Blackburn for this poem
Truly a great day....

This poem:  "It Couldn't Be done by:  Edgar Guest.  With a Rhynes Twist.  And where Mr Guest used the word HE.  I will use SHE...!
