Pictures of the death of inmate Willie James Williams who died September 2, 1998, in the Lowndes County Jail. His death got the atterntion of approximately 4,000 people from across the state and beyond.

Nearly 2,000 strong marched to the Lowndes County Jail in protest for a Black Motorist who was arrested on a routine traffice violation. A few hours later He was found dead in his own jail cell.

Mr. Dick Gregory and George Boston Rhynes 2005. A great man in whom I have always respected. He is, and always will be a man that I have the greatest respect. Mainly because he thinks outside of the box of incarceration and indoctrination. Truly a great Black man of honor in and all Americans can learn from. Only if they would listen. I thank God for meeting him in this life time.

Boston Rhynes and his son Elliontt were when a tarnodo struck - Photo by George Boston Rhynes as was front page in the Valdosta Daily Times on February 1995 Vol 90, No 123.

The spritual meaning to this incident cannot be understood by looking at a picture. I new following this incident that GOD did not want me to fear no MAN, WOMAN, BEAST. Because is worth of me to fear.

Brother George Boston Rhynes giving his Weekly Radio Broadcast on WLAT Radio Station in Conway, South Carolina, while stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base in 1982.

Brother George Boston Rhynes and Ron, a young man who is liken unto my own son-plus. His words, mind, and mysterious spirit is one that the ordinary person may or may be able to overstand.
However, He and his wife are two young people that the world is blessed to have in it. They come with a level of overstanding wisdom that is too much for people of their age.

This picture means so much to me because it shows that true love, unity, respect, and equality are ties that truly binds. After the death of The Honorable Al Parson. I was deeply humbled that this picture had been taken with the five of us. Although, others should have been with us but were not because this is how time and destiny wanted it to beeeeee.
Reading from left to Right: Charles Moore, writer at the Lake Park Post, Vickie English, Writer, co-editor at the Post, Al Parson owner and backbone of the post, George B. Rhynes a
brother to all, and Mrs Leigh Touchton, supporter, partner, and historical figure in that she was the first White Lady to hold the office of President of an NAACP Branch in America.
So be not deceived we we cannot put all White People in the same tree trunk. These people stood with me when Blacks were no where to be found. I do not put down my own Black brothers and sisters. However, Jesus said and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make/set you free.  There, the more truth I speak the more fee'er I become.  Peace!

Brother George Boston Rhynes and Minister Floyd E. Rose at a March following the death of inmate Willie James Williams (Lowndes County Jail), near Valdosta State University in Valdosta Georgia. The hold the Holy Bible and marched with it leading the March as carrying the Ark of the Covenant as in the days of old.

This march was like the many other marches brought together many members of our community from all areas of the community and from organizations from across the state of Georgia.
The Honorable Rev. Floyd E. Rose will always be in my heart because he has done what I believe was given to him to do in this life. And to those of you who wanted me to walk away from this strong, and bold soldier. I simply reply by saying you must have not read the 133 Psalms. Amen, and Awomen.

Get Out The Vote August 2005, in Atlanta Morris Brown College), The Honorable Cynthia McKinney Congresswoman from the 4th Congressional District of the State of Georgia. This picture was taken in August 2005, at Morris Brown State College. At the get out the Vote March. I had this golden opportunity not only to meet her, but talk, see, experience the power, hear her voice tone, along with others who spoke from the state, (Jesse Jackson, Dick Gregory, and other leaders from the State NAACP) and of course a bus from Valdosta chartered under the leadership of Rev. Floyd Rose and The Peoples Tribunal.

I had always loved, respected, and hoped to see this Congresswoman from Georgia. She is truly a people person, and on that day I told her, "You are a SHERO, and I thank you for being you." And on August 8, 2006, I still say you are my SHERO. Thank you my beautiful Black Sister for being you, and keep speaking truth to power. Peace!

(St Peters AME Church in Valdosta, Georgia, 2006), Brother George Boston Rhynes and Cynthia McKinney May 13, 2006, at St Peters AME Mothers Day Banquet in Valdosta, Georgia. This was the second time we met at an event, and again she was outstanding. She was still beautiful, strong, with a million dollar smile, great voice tone, wearing Black African Attire, and she retains the spirit of the common woman, and man.

I had the high honor of meeting her golden haired mother. We talked at Rev. Floyd Rose house and her mother is a pearl beyond measure. I will share the poem as it was delivered at the Mothers Day Banquet on May 13, 2006.

PROGRAM FACILATATOR: Next coming up is a reading from Brother George Rhynes President of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Branch of the NAACP. (Long Applause).

"When God spoke in the Bible about Sampson-------I believe, HE was talking about----Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Our poem, it couldn't be done by Edgar Guest, with a Rhynes TWIST (Long Applause).

In honor of all mothers, and the Honorable Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, (Rhynes looks towards McKinney), for whom I have the greatest respect. AND REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS MAY SAY. I SAY------SHE IS MY SHERO," (Long Applause).

It Couldn't Be Done by:
Edgar Guest

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But SHE with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but SHE would be one
Who wouldn't say so till SHE tried.

So SHE buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On HER face. If SHE worried SHE hid it.
SHE started to sing as SHE tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and SHE did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But SHE took off HER coat and SHE took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew SHE'D begun it.
With a lift of HER chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
SHE started to sing as SHE tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and SHE did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;

Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and like
Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney from the
4th Congressional District of
Georgia, you'll do it my friend."

(Again, an extremely long applause).

Truly, this was a historical event for
Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia.

Thanks to Alberta Blackburn for this poem
Truly a great day....

This poem:  "It Couldn't Be done by:  Edgar Guest.  With a Rhynes Twist.  And where Mr Guest used the word HE.  I will use SHE...!
